Software & Websites
Software
Since 1984, we have been developing software for businesses and personal use. The first development was a Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) program called Novacad. It ran on the humble BBC Micro and brought CAD to schools and small businesses. Before Novacad was released, the only alternatives cost vast sums of money and ran on large computers, which were also extremely expensive. From there, we continued to develop bespoke software for businesses across the UK and Europe, creating solutions that proved highly cost-effective.Some examples include:
- A complete system to run a multi-million pound international company. Included stock control and logistics, order processing, invoicing, and integrated with Sage for full accounting.
- The control system to manage the radio control of car repair agents. This involved both hardware and software design and development.
- A defence weapons system trainer.
- Several database systems for local companies for stock control and logistics.
- A software testing system for a new cryptographic development.
- A management system for a large HR company.
In more recent years, we have also developed some useful software applications aimed more at individuals. These run online and are not apps to install on your smartphone. We chose the online option because most devices are almost always connected to the internet, and it lets you access your information from any device with a browser.
- Budget - A great program to help you manage your money. Enter regular and one-off payments and receipts, and it will tell you how much money you will have as time passes. Try it for free by clicking here.
- Journal - Keep track of your days with this handy journal. Extremely easy to use, searchable and FREE. Click here to register (it's completely free).
Websites
A website is essential in business, and we offer a service to suit every budget. From a small site similar to this one, which can be yours from £200 (including .com registration and hosting for the first year), to a large database-backed online system for which we would quote you individually.
Website Hosting
We also offer website hosting at very reasonable prices. All our hosted sites offer unlimited email addresses, unlimited bandwidth, fast, UK-based hosting with full SSD storage, nightly backups, free SSL certificates, and are powered by 100% renewable energy. Get in touch if you would like to know more.
Artificial Intelligence
Nowadays, it is hard to escape AI, but if you read any of the technical papers, you will learn that AI is far from perfect. Code produced by it will often contain built-in errors and, in some cases, even malware or spyware. We still code by hand, using AI only when it makes sense, to avoid the issues of maintainability and reliability that AI can introduce.
